Advantages over abrasive prep
Laser prep leaves no embedded grit and no chemical residue. It also doesn't fill seams or blind holes with media. Because it's precise, we can prep only the area that needs it, which reduces masking and keeps you from redoing adjacent finished surfaces.
Coating adhesion and surface profile
Some coating systems call for a specific anchor profile that only abrasive blasting creates. Laser cleaning produces a very clean surface but a different texture. If your coating spec requires a particular profile, share it with us. We'll tell you whether laser cleaning alone meets it or whether it should be paired with another step.
